HEARTFELT GENEROSITY THAT
Multiplies Abundance
We have embarked on a transformative journey to reshape the world's perception, support, and treatment of recovery.
Our mission is to increase the accessibility of addiction and mental health treatment through scholarships, while fostering an inclusive community where individuals in search of greater purpose and connection are embraced with open arms.

Overdose Awareness
Meet us at an event as we honor world’s largest campaign to #EndOverdose
We strive to make a profound impact in our community for overdose awareness and prevention, collaborating closely with local organizations to amplify our initiatives. We believe that, together, we can raise awareness about the devastating consequences of drug overdose and remember those we have lost.
Substance Use Disorder Treatment Scholarships
Donate now to our scholarship fund
We believe that no one should be deprived of the opportunity to overcome Substance Use Disorder (SUD) due to financial limitations. We offer life-changing treatment scholarships to ensure that finances never become a barrier on the path to freedom from addiction.
By donating just $50, you can make a meaningful impact on the lives of people and families who are transitioning out of homelessness.
Your generous contribution will be used to stock their pantry with essential goods and provide basic kitchen tools, empowering them to prepare delicious and healthy home-cooked meals. Join us in supporting these individuals as they build a brighter future, one meal at a time.

our story
Turning Grief
INTO Action
Momentum In Recovery was founded by Vanessa Wheeler Hurr after the devastating loss of her big brother to overdose in April of 2020.
Vanessa’s loss is something that a lot of other families have experienced. The struggle to find resources to assist with her brother’s Substance Use Disorder, mental health issues, and homelessness was costly, consuming, and more often than not, non-existent.
He never did find a way to live life in recovery and that loss will always be felt by the Wheeler family.
The intersection of grief and advocacy is a heartfelt one. The drive to create Momentum In Recovery was an easy YES once we knew how donations could directly impact people in Wisconsin that are up against similar struggles. We believe that our energy is our currency and that building power through collective giving helps everyone win.
We believe that generosity multiples abundance and, through donations, Momentum In Recovery is able to host charitable events, educational pop-ups, prepare meals for those who are experiencing food-insecurity, and assist people who are trying to live their life in recovery from mental and behavioral health issues.
